The hacker put the stolen data from Twitter up for sale for
$30,000
The data stolen as a result of the cyber-attack on Twitter
in the month of January has been offered for sale by the hacker for 30 thousand
dollars.
In January, a cyber-attack on Twitter resulted in the theft
of 5.4 million users' data, which is now being offered for sale online by the
hacker.
On the other hand, calling the data theft a security issue,
Twitter has announced a reward of $5,400 for anyone who can find the hacker
named "Zerinovsky".
Steven Taylor of Restore Privacy says that a hacker is now
trying to sell data stolen by exploiting a Twitter security vulnerability under
the username 'Zerenowski'.
They said that the hacker who sold the data, goes by the
name of Devil on the hacking forum and the data stolen by him includes the data
of ordinary users as well as creators, celebrities and companies.
Taylor said that when Restore Privacy contacted the hacker
who sold the database to learn more about the hacker, he demanded $30,000 for
the database.
According to Y-Store Privacy, a post was posted on the
Breach Forums website regarding the sale of data by the seller and the authenticity
of the data has been verified by the website owner.
