Brazil's big blow to American Technology Company
Brazil has taken an enormous step towards EU legislation on
charging ports.
According to technology news, Brazil's national
telecommunications company has proposed a single charging cable for smartphones
sold across the country.
In this regard, the National Telecommunication Agency has
also called for public opinion. In this regard, Anatel has started the public
opinion this week so that the order to have the same standard for smartphone
chargers in Brazil can be fulfilled. ۔
The move by Brazil comes as the European Union finalized a
law in early June to have a uniform charging port for mobile phones, tablets,
headphones, and cameras.
Significantly, Anatel's new proposal is for smartphones
only. The legislation will affect the iPhone of US technology giant Apple, as
Apple is still using the Privacy Port instead of the USB Type-C.
But Brazilian IT experts say the move is aimed at bringing
the country's cable charging interface to the standard of the CoV SB Type-C.
Keep in mind that all iPhone models use the Lightning cable,
while Android devices use USB Type-C connectors for charging.
